About
Alejandra Hinojosa was born in Monterrey, Mexico. She has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from ITESM (1998), a Master’s degree in Humanities from UDEM (2006), a Diploma in Management from IPADE (2010), and attended the Stanford Executive Program from Stanford University Business School, with a scholarship from SEP Alumni Foundation (2016).
Alejandra defines herself as passionate and idealistic. For 16 years, she has supported social development by creating and implementing educative programs for boys, girls, and young adults.
She is currently the General Director of Formando Emprendedores ABP, an organization that educates girls, boys and young adults to become participative citizens and social entrepreneurs. She also leads the organization Lideres Ciudadanos, which promotes Culture of Lawfulness.
A few of her professional achievements include:
Directing Formando Emprendedores ABP into educating over 17,000 students each year with the support from 1,200 volunteers.
Creating the Galardón Empresarial, a charity event that pays tribute to social entrepreneurs.
Designing and implementing the educative platform Pequeñ@s Ciudadan@s, which has educated over 61,000 students since 2015. Pequeñ@s Ciudadan@s consists of an educative program, workshops for parents, an animated series translated in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and soon a virtual platform.
Directing Historias Ciudadanas and Haz Corto con la Corrupción, social programs where over 4,000 young adults have expressed their views on topics such as ending corruption and promoting civic participation, by creating short films and written testimonies.
