About
I am passionate about WASH issues in Latin America and globally.
While living in Nicaragua, I co-founded the social enterprise Cova to build a healthier Central America through community-centered, safe water solutions.
The grassroots foundation of the organization was formed on horseback visits to remote communities to understand the resources available and leverage market-based solutions.
The organization quickly grew from a single employee to a team of three dozen local staff from Honduras, Nicaragua, and El Salvador, providing water quality solutions in over 2,100 communities, and safe drinking water to over 1.3 million Central Americans. Cova has since created the largest drinking water quality database across Central America, incorporating remote sensors to measure and forecast water quality trends among rural communities.
Before co-founding Cova, I initiated a West African manufacturing facility fabricating agricultural processing equipment in Senegal, managed manufacturing partnerships in China, and led a human-centered design innovation lab in Malawi, bringing together several public and private partners.
I am a recent Stanford Graduate School of Business graduate and World Economic Forum Global Shaper Alumus. I currently serve on several nonprofit boards and sit on the Advisory Council of the United States Global Leadership Coalition.
