Mario Ferro is our 2019 Scholar. Mario is the co-founder of Wedu, a multi-award winning social enterprise catalysing women's leadership development through inspiring mentorship and higher education.

As a Senior Business Adviser on Energy Investments for Greenpeace International, he worked on promoting investments in clean energy. As an Acumen Fellow 2011 Mario contributed to the increase effectiveness of financial management at Husk Power Systems in electrification of rural Bihar (India).
Mario worked in the post emergency reconstruction effort in Haiti with the NGO GOAL.
Mario started as a senior consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory where he worked for three years on performance improvement for large corporations and SMEs, and managed a research project in Shanghai (China) for the Italian Trade Commission.
Mario has a Masters of Science in Development Management at the London School of Economics, and a Master in Economics and Management from La Sapienza.
